Which chart should you use in November 2026?
If you are filing Form I-485 in the US, USCIS's adjustment of status filing charts page says to use the Dates for Filing chart for all family-sponsored and all employment-based categories in November 2026. Your priority date must be earlier than the date listed for your category and country. USCIS can only approve the green card once your date is also earlier than the Final Action Date. If you are processing at a US consulate abroad, the National Visa Center uses the Final Action Dates.

How to read your row
- Find your priority date on your I-797 approval or receipt notice for the I-130 or I-140 (see what a priority date is).
- Find your category (for example F2A or EB-2) and your country of chargeability, which is usually your country of birth.
- If your priority date is earlier than the date shown, your date is "current" for that chart.
Your date is current: what next?
If you are in the US and eligible to adjust, you can file Form I-485. Start with our I-485 document checklist, then add up the cost with the green card fee calculator. After you file, track your case with the USCIS processing time checker.
