Current I-90 fee

Fees below come from the USCIS Fee Schedule (Form G-1055), edition dated 10/26/26, as read on October 31, 2026. Fees change; check USCIS for current fees before you file. Filing with the wrong fee can get your form rejected.

Filing methodI-90 fee
Online$415
Paper (mail)$465

Filing online is $50 cheaper than paper under the current schedule.

Cases listed at $0

The fee schedule lists $0 for some I-90 situations, including when USCIS issued your previous card but it was returned as undeliverable and you never received it, and certain cases where USCIS issued the card with incorrect information. Read the exact wording on the fee schedule before relying on an exemption.

How to pay

According to the USCIS Fee Schedule (Form G-1055) page, when filing by mail you can pay by credit, debit or prepaid card with Form G-1450, or from a U.S. bank account with Form G-1650. Online filings are paid through Pay.gov. USCIS says an incorrect fee will get your filing rejected.

Fee waivers

Some filers may qualify for a fee waiver using Form I-912, Request for Fee Waiver. USCIS says that for most forms you can't request a fee waiver when filing online, so a waiver request generally means filing on paper.
