Not legal advice. GreenCardBlog.com is an independent information site, not a law firm and not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency. Immigration rules, fees and timelines change. Always confirm details on USCIS.gov and consider speaking with a licensed immigration attorney about your situation.
Pick your situation and filing method. The calculator adds up the USCIS filing fees listed on each form's official page. It does not include medical exam, translation, photo, mailing or attorney costs.
Fee notes
- Online filing is $50 cheaper for forms USCIS accepts online, such as the I-130, I-751, I-90 and N-400.
- Reduced fee: N-400 applicants with household income at or below 400% of the federal poverty guidelines may pay $380. Fee waivers are available for some forms; see USCIS Form I-912.
- I-765 and I-131 with an I-485: since April 1, 2024 these are charged separately when filed with the I-485. Some categories (for example asylum-based applications) have different fees.
- Not included: the civil surgeon medical exam, translations, photos and attorney fees.
